Stop assuming the internet tethering or wifi hot spot is certain any where in the world.

See below pictures for how powerful Kiwiland telco 2degrees is in terms of technology. We cannot do the above as the options are removed straight away once the sim card is put in, which means we cannot share data plans!

Edit: actually can be done, googled and realized have to manually configure. What a move!

Use it while it lasts!

We were given 2 free 50mb wifi for the trouble. But what better use for them since we are checking out tomorrow morning? Stay in the room all day today? Write more entries here with bunch of photos?

Hagley autumn trees

We went to Westfield Riccarton to compare some options the different telco providers provide. Looks like 2degree offer some really affordable pricing, but the coverage may not be the best compared to telecom XT or Vodaphone. Just like M1 vs Singtel. :)

We went to Hagley Park for a short walk and photo taking with the trees with red leaves. Seriously, this is the first time I saw trees like autumn time in real life. That's the country bumpkin part of living in a tropical city - you don't see nature except in books.
