Pan fried chicken with mini penne

Here's master chef tan's dish 2, with the limited resources and tools.

It was beautifully prepared in Rakaia Gorge.

Camping @ Rakaia Gorge

Lovely little Gorge, and it's the first time we seen a gorge not on textbook or internet. Dictionary defines gorge as a narrow cleft with rocky and steep walls, especially where a stream runs. That pretty much defines what you might expect.

But the miraculous thing is, we may visualize how it look like, but it's a totally different feeling when you are looking at it. It felt so breathtaking, almost like you just sky dived. Ok, I am exaggerating here.

It's so nice we decided to camp overnight here.

Stopover @ Methven

Methven is a lovely town, much better than Ashburton IMHO. There are pubs, nice greens and most importantly, many free parking.
The town has not any attractions to offer, but it's a gateway town to mount somner, mount hutt and Rakaia gorge. Mount hutt is one of the lovely places where people ski.

Ashburton

There really isn't anything in the Ashburton town, but it's definitely seems much better than Christchurch. The parking are mostly paid parking.

This town seems to be thriving in business, agricultural wise and dairy wise. There is a Macdonalds and KFC, so you can imagine how flourish it is. The Macdonalds drive-thru ordering, uhum, is a bit cute. Take a closer look at photo below!

We are now moving to the Rakaia Gorge, which I believe there will not be any reception again.
