Re:START

This is an attraction in Christchurch after the earth quake last year. What they did is to set up container shops in an area within the red zone (symbolizing destruction zone from the earth quake). An additional income to some shops I may say, and to restore some faith to the locals. Ballantynes is the big shopping mall, as in Takashimaya in Singapore, and there were other small shops like gift shops, temporary banks, iPhone shop, lingerie shops (I can't understand why, but yes, there was a lingerie shop Plush) and others. Pretty simple, but sweet.

What really caught our attention is the food stores there. Container push carts style, food was nice, would give it an average 8/10 in terms of looks, ambience and taste. Perhaps we were hungry after a mad day, but that doesn't matter, would still highly recommend them. I wanted to try the Sushi, opened by a pweety pweety big eyes japanese girl, around my age perhaps. Haha. But didn't because I might not live past the day with her beside me.

Tried the German sausage and wood base pizza portobello mushrooms in the end. Highly recommend the Moroccan Lamb sausage, I personally will give it 9/10 in terms of taste, pricing wise ok for the standard here - a sausage with bun cost $6.50 and the pizza $15. A coke to end the meal is always a fulfilling one. Pictures below.

Fancy collecting your money from container ATM anyone?
