We had one the last time round when we helped Pauline and Micheal troubleshoot their laptop. It wasn't spicy at all. And Koh Leng Leng told me they order the 'Hot' category. It comes in Mild, Normal, Hot and Extra Hot.
So this time round, I told the owner I want Asian style Hot, not those Caucasian style Hot. He said he will give me 3 Extra Hot.
It's really marvelous considering how much I like curry. Highly recommended. I think this could jolly well be their normal hotness! You never know how much is the craving until you are out of country for a month!
Below pictures might be a bit gross because I am sweating all around with the super duper zombified spiciness he made on the butter chicken!

24th June @ Jogging!
After so long, finally Koh Leng Leng asked me out for a run! That's rather unusual of her, since she never move a budge when I ask her for a run back in Singapore.
Anyway, we had completed a 2km short jog + a 1km cool down and her legs ached for 2 full days and she is still 'recuperating' now.
Hmmm, I wonder when will be our next run....

22nd June @ Courageous movie screening
The event had finally ended. It was slightly disappointing that the turnout wasn't as good as we had earlier expected, since we had worked hard to make preparations for the movie event. But well, I guess that is also a learning point where there are some things that we can't control. I hope they do not take it too hard too!
Anyway, see pictures below on the event! Cheers.

22nd June @ Koh Leng Leng is driving!
We had agreed to help out on an event organized by Pauline and Micheal, our neighbors. They are a couple who are in their 80s, yet more active than we are. It's really nice to know them and Pauline even taught Koh Leng Leng how to make rusks!
Hurray. And now, Koh Leng Leng is driving us to town to buy some refreshment for the event. Thank god it's a automatic transmission car an she can manage it without any stress.

Meals in Grumpy
Since we are taking our own sweet time staying in Grumpy, we started to make ourselves nice and yummy dinners. This includes having simple but hot steamboat in the damn cold weather!

18th to 25th June @ Nua-ing in Grumpy's
We had been nua-ing in Grumpy's Retreat until now, and until further notice!
I guess we had burnt out and we really need rest.
Grumpy is a really nice owner of this holiday park and please do show your support if you are on a caravan and visiting south island. He is often grumpy, but he is really a warm and nice guy!

17th June @ Vintage Car Museum and My Husband's Nut!
The car museum is closed from mid June to Sept! Such a spoilt mood. it show case old cars and tractors, especially those that were used long time ago for traction of the fields, since Geraldine main focus is agriculture and farming.
We also visited Geraldine Play House, but the play "My Husband's Nut!" had ended.

17th June @ Movie in Geraldine
We decided to go back to Geraldine to relax for a few days. So we went to catch a movie in the vintage country style cinema since we missed it the last time round. It was really a different experience watching in a non-city setting and very casual style. There will be a interlude in the middle of the show for people to go toilet or buy refreshment. Highly recommended for people visiting South Island! You can even eat ice cream inside the cinema!
We watched Marigold Hotel and was inspired by the saying, "everything will be ok in the end, if it is not ok, it is not the end yet!"

Sheep
Are we like sheep? Have we gotten influenced by the sheeps and cows around us? Is that what they had earlier meant by a laid back life?
Sometimes I ponder, especially recently when we got much more free time as we had reached our low peak. We are kind of tired of rushing to do what a tourist want to do and visit, but instead, returning to our Singapore daily life - with me playing Diablo and she watching movies on iPad. That's city life.
The first thought when I woke up is only 1 worry. What do we eat for our breakfast? After the breakfast, what do we eat for dinner?
For that, we fare really well, always rewarding ourselves with a sumptuous meal whipped up by both of us. But, why is it a reward when we haven't done anything? Are we feasting like the sheep and cows?
Worth any thoughts?

An unexpected knock!
We had just completed our sumptuous Italian lamb chop grill and pasta and returned back to our caravan.
A whole later, there was a knock on our van! It was a melodious series of 7 knocks, and we wouldn't have a clue how it might be. My first thought was the Czechs couple who had just arrived, and could be we left something behind the common kitchen. But it was a frail voice that greeted us.
"Where have you been these 2 days?" exclaimed Micheal. Micheal is Pauline's husband, who is 81 years in age I believe. They are retirees and had been in Grumpy's Retreat since 2 months back.
We had a small chat where we told him we woke up late and slept late. He guessed that we slept at 3am, and indeed that was a very clever guess! However late we woke, we always see them walking up and down up and down in the park! We behaved like old man and woman rather than Mike and Pauline!
It was really an unexpected, yet caring gesture Mike had shown.

16th June @ A stroll in Caroline Bay
It's always nice to take it slow and have nice and romantic stroll off the park and Caroline Bay.
The sand aren't that great to boast about, neither are the waves. But the good thing is, they really invested well on the park connector to the beach and bay.
Enjoy! I had my fair bit with the high star jump I did, and the romantic moment walking down to the beach with her. Great job Koh Leng Leng on the excellent picture taken!
