I know I had back logged on the Mount Cook adventures, glaciers, walks and stuff, but I am simply too excited on this entry! We met some really good travelers from London and Melbourne.
We had settled for Twizel Ruataniwa Holiday Park after we left Mount Cook, since it was the nearest town. As we go into the communal area, there was this white man greeting us. This was the exact man we saw back in our hike to hooker valley, and at the planetarium in the Hermitage. I remember our first encounter was when we do not see sight of hooker glacier, we asked the returning couple where it was. That returning couple happened to be Marcus and wife, in which we finally got to know, after 3 encounters.
There was also this Aussie, Darren, who lived in Melbourne and had a Taiwanese wife. His wife is due to birth soon. He is an avid photographer of landscapes and traveling alone at the moment.
There was also another English couple, Peter and wife, who kind of like traveling too, but they will be finishing their NZ travel this Friday.
We had a long and lovely chat, from rugby to telco to olympics to travel experiences. It was something amazing despite the cold weather, that something so interesting on the topics can warmth your heart. We really wish the night could have gone further, but everyone has their plans tomorrow morning.
We arranged to stay for another night, same time same channel, till then good night and sleep tight.
Lovely Twizel.
