17th July @ The Chasm & Lovers Leap

We had wanted to visit the Sandfly Bay, which is the name of the habitat of my nemesis. Seriously, why do such nasty creatures even exist in the world? And a bay to name after them? It must be a place full of treacherous hell.

In the end we chose the cliffs, The Chasm and Lovers Leap instead of it. It was a nice and beautiful walk, owing to the fact that it is winter and few people around. We met a local, called Ian, who is a retiree and an avid documentary film taker. He explained that he loves taking The Chasm facing Mount Charles, and the little archipelago jutting out. He also brought us to a secret view point where even fewer people trek on. It was a spectacular view towards the Pacific Ocean.

Ian doesn't look like in his 76s does he? I guess exercise really help a lot!

There were no history on how the naming comes about, and I was starting to think that lovers came here to jump down together in the past, so the name Lovers Leap. The Chasm is a better view out of the 2.
