We got a late night knock from Michael asking if we fancy a trip to Mount Algidus. This is an elusive place where one must trek thru 4 or more streams of water to get thru, and the stream may reach few meters deep. The mode of transport across this is by 4wheel drive (if stream is less than a meter high), tractor (if stream is more than that) and another big wheel vehicle if it gets higher. This is also depicted in a book titled "A river rules my life" by Mona Anderson back in 1960s where you can potentially lose connection with the outside world if the river gets too high, which may not be an uncommon event.
We agreed to it since it is something not all travellers get to see or go, unless you made special arrangements. Michael and Pauline's daughter, Sally-Ann, is working inside, thus the invitation. We were both excited about the trip tomorrow, except the fact that we have to leave by 9am.
